Rental Terms

Reservations must be made through our website rent.martynazgruzji.pl and completed with its confirmation. After making a reservation, you will receive an email with the reservation number and order details. A 15% prepayment made within 3 days from the moment of online reservation confirmation serves as a guarantee of the booking. All necessary details are included in the confirmation email. Once we receive confirmation of the prepayment (by email), we will send you the vehicle pickup details and the reservation will be fully confirmed.

Vehicle pickup and return is possible 24/7, both at the airports and at any address in Kutaisi and Tbilisi. Delivery to any address in Kutaisi is free of charge. The day before your rental, we will create a WhatsApp group for communication throughout the entire rental period.

Documents required for vehicle pickup:

• Passport or ID card
• Valid driving license of the appropriate category (we strongly recommend having an International Driving Permit)

The driver must possess a valid driving license for the entire rental period. In the event of a police check, driving without a physical driving license may result in a high fine and vehicle impoundment. The renter will be responsible for all impoundment costs.

Changes and cancellations are possible. The deposit is fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled at least 30 days before arrival.

In case of a breakdown, we will resolve the issue or provide a replacement vehicle. We reserve up to 24 hours from the moment of reporting to provide assistance.

Vehicles are divided into 3 categories:

• City/Highway – permitted only on paved roads
• Easy Offroad / Light Offroad – permitted on all gravel roads except the road to Omalo (Tusheti)
• Offroad – permitted on all official roads in Georgia

It is strictly prohibited to drive into the occupied territories of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Overlanding vehicles (with roof tents) may drive on unofficial roads (forest tracks, roads to lakes), but paint damage is not covered by insurance. Therefore, driving through bushes is not recommended.

The remaining amount (reservation total minus the deposit) is payable in cash upon vehicle pickup and contract signing. We accept Euro, US Dollars, or Georgian Lari (GEL). Dollars and GEL are calculated according to the exchange rate of the National Bank of Georgia on the day of pickup.

We do not charge any security deposit in cash or on a credit card. The only exception is for vehicles with roof tents – in this case, we charge a 200 EUR refundable deposit in cash, returned upon vehicle return after checking the camping equipment.

Included in the rental price:

• AC (Casco) – covers 100% of the vehicle's value
• OC (Third Party Liability) – basic coverage up to 50,000 USD

AC covers:

• All damages caused by the renter or third parties
• Damages resulting from fire, theft, and natural disasters

Conditions for insurance coverage:

• Immediate notification to the rental company about the damage
• Not moving the vehicle until the police arrive
• Having a police report from the scene (police may check sobriety). This also applies to single-vehicle accidents.

Insurance does NOT cover:

• Driving on routes prohibited for the given vehicle category
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Driving by an unauthorized person

Important Notes: If an accident is the renter's fault, the police may issue a 250 GEL fine (charged to the renter). For damages up to 250 GEL, it is possible to settle in cash without calling the police (after consultation with the rental company). Tire punctures are not insured. The renter must purchase a replacement tire (cost: 50–120 EUR depending on tire category).

Crossing the Georgian border with a rental car is currently possible only to Armenia. The cost of a notarized authorization is 90 EUR. It requires sending us a scan of the main driver's passport at least 5 business days before the rental and purchasing local insurance at the Armenian border.

Vehicles are rented in 24-hour periods. Exceeding the rental period will result in an additional full day charge according to the reservation rate.

Early return is possible. We do not refund unused days.

Extension of the rental is possible, subject to vehicle availability.

Our cars are based in:

• Kutaisi (city + airport)
• Tbilisi (city + airport)

Drop-off in a different city:

• Tbilisi ↔ Kutaisi: 80–90 EUR (depending on the vehicle)
• Tbilisi ↔ Batumi: 80 EUR
• Kutaisi ↔ Batumi: 80 EUR
